
CAFE WOODWORKS, situated in the original 1883 house in the Bungendore Wood Works Gallery complex, has been independently owned and operated by Eric Dangerfield for the past six years. Under Eric’s direction and enthusiasm the Café’s reputation has grown and now enjoys a strong following from locals and the travellers alike. Eric has over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry bringing professionalism and attention to detail to this popular corner of Bungendore. The Café’s attention to service and value-for-money menus are second to none in Bungendore Village
Café Woodworks trades every day from 9 to 5 except Christmas Day and is ideally placed for a pit-stop between Canberra and the coast. The Café is also considered a dining destination by regular guests from the wider Bungendore, Canberra and Southern Highlands regions, and a popular part of the Bungendore experience enjoyed by the many visitors to the Wood Works and Bungendore Village.
The Café has a relaxed art-space ambience with a versatile deck and intimate Lounge Gallery. Service is “country-style” friendly and quick, efficient and flexible. The Food is generous in flavour and portion with local produce sourced wherever possible.
Head Chef Rick Campbell is a well-travelled local who is dedicated to honest and reliable cuisine that always exceeds guest expectations.
The Café welcomes bookings and is unlicensed with BYO welcome.
