Garrick Blue

Garrick's passion for woodcraft began, unexpectedly, back in 1995after retiring from thirty three years in the Banking industry and together with his wife Annie, were exploring the South West corner of West Australia.
Any visitor to the South West could not fail to be impressed, even moved by the sight of the mighty Karri, Tingle and Jarrah forests that occur throughout this area. This fascination became even more intense with a number of visits to local woodwork galleries and conversations with some of the area's best wood workers. With encouragement from family, local galleries and particularly his woodwork teacher, his hobby soon became a business; that of crafting fine wooden boxes.

Predictably, the majority of his work utilises Australian native timbers and this continues to be popular with interstate and overseas visitors seeking a convenient and quintessential Australian souvenir or gift.
Each piece is unique whether it has been designed to hold jewellery, games, business or household accessories or specific items such as coins or medals. Humidors are also made to the client's individual specifications.
